On October the secretary general of RA National Security Service Arthur Baghdasaryan received Austrian ambassador to Armenia Alois Crout and honorable counsel of Austrian Republic to RA Aram Marutyan
NSS secretary congratulated the ambassador for the beginning of the mission in our country and wished success. Arthur Baghdasaryan noted that Armenia appreciated the development of relations with Aystria on diverse formats.
On the request of the ambassador NSS secretary described the situation in the region, namely Nagorno Karabakh issue and relations of RA with Turkey and Azerbaijan. Arthur Baghdasaryan noted that Armenia goes on being trustful to OSCE Minsk Group efforts to peacefully regulate the conflict and is ready to continue negotiations with Azerbaijan despite the announcements by Azerbaijani authorities and the glorification of the murderer Ramil Safarov having killed Armenian officer Gurgen Margaryan. They also touched upon relations with Iran and Georgia.
During the meeting an agreement was reached between RA National Security Service and Austrian Security service to cooperate with each other.
