On Tuesday, October 30, Chief Prosecutor of Georgia Archil Kbilashvili urged citizens, who appeared to be victims of crime in the last few years, but who has not achieved the response of law enforcement agencies, to contact the prosecutor’s office.
“I urge people: if they have been victims of crime at different times between 2004 and 2012, and have not received response so far, or were intimidated, send your applications addressed to the Chief Prosecutor started from today ” – Kbilashvili said.
Kbilashvili did not specify whether his call for citizens concerns victims of crime until 2004.
However, according to him, the prosecutor’s office “is ready to accept all the applications.”
Recall that Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, on presentation of a new Minister of Justice Thea Tsulukiani, dismissed the Chief Prosecutor Murtaza Zodelava and appointed Archil Kbilashvili to the post. This information has been officially confirmed by the Ministry of Justice on Tuesday.
