The press service of RA Foreign Ministry reported to “First Armenian News and Analysis” that during his official visit to New York FM Edward Nalbandyan had meetings with the FMs of Lebanon, Jordan and Syria.
During Nalbandyan’s meeting with Lebanese FM Adnan Mansouri, the parties discussed the preparation of RA President’s visit to Lebanon as well as the cooperation in international organizations and the FMs commented on the recent developments in the Middle East.
The meeting of Edward Nalbandyan with Jordan FM Nasser Judeh referred to the progress of mutual relations. On this account the accreditation of RA Embassy to Amman and the foundation of RA consulate were appreciated. The FMs planned to organize visits of senior officials, to develop business ties and activate cultural cooperation.
The Syrian events were the subject of Nalbandyan-Mualim meeting. The Syrian FM Waleed al-Mualim represented the recent events and approaches on UNO and Arabic League missions.
Edward Nalbandyan expressed his concern about the ongoing clashes in Syria and the critical humanitarian situation noting that the society is highly hurt including the Syrian Armenians. Armenian FM stressed that the crisis is impossible to overcome without stopping the violence.
