Azerbaijani sources report of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh addressing the President of the AEGEE – European Students Forum Luis Alvarado Martinez. As reported the protests is related to opening of AEGEE representation in Nagorno-Karabakh republic.
“We would to say you and participant organizations in opening of the AEGEE representation in inseparable Nagorno Karabakh region of Azerbaijan that Armenia have occupied Azerbaijani Nagorno Karabakh region and the other 7 regions for 20 years and still is under occupation. Armenia’s aggression to Azerbaijan and keeping 7 surrounding regions under occupation contrary to international legal norm and principles. No state has recognized so-called “Nagorno Karabakh Republic” and opening of your organization’s representation in this region is illegal.
We ask and demand you that to look through this issue again, because such initiations can damage not only negotiations process, both the future and development of the region.,” read the text.
