The press statement from the Department of the RA President Staff of Public and Media Relations informs that today Serzh Sargsyan received General Secretary of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Hamadun Turei.
Welcoming the General Secretary of ITU, the President stressed that the success of the telecommunication and communication sector in our country in recent years is the result of the International Telecommunication Union and collaboration with Mr. Hamadun Turei. Serzh Sargsyan hailed activities of General Secretary Hamadun Turei.
The General Secretary noted that Armenia actively participates in the activities of the Union and is glad for the progress of in the area of telecommunication. He assured the President that the ITU is ready to continue to support the organization member Armenia.
According to Hamadun Turei the intellectual potential of Armenia in the development of telecommunications and communications sector has significant opportunities and prospects, and he will be happy to continue the research, discussions of the working groups, conferences and international telecommunications.
The two sides stressed the importance of the role AHA plays in the socio-economic development of the countries.
