The head of the PACE Venice Commission Gianni Buquicchio send a letter to the head of Armenia’s Constitutional Court Gagik Harutyunyan, noting that he shares the frustration connected with the recent events.
Buquicchio made an announcement on behalf of the entire organization that it is unacceptable to give the status of hero to a convicted murderer. “I refuse to accept the concept of a world, in which moral grounds are loosened, in which human dignity is denied. I strongly condemn such glorification of crimes and I urge everybody to work together to ensure respect for the right of life, protection of property, as well as protection of values preached by the Council of Europe. ”
