The CIS countries “Free Trade Zone” agreement, presented to the President, is an important document, which will have a significant impact on the economy of Armenia. This was stated by the Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan at the National Assembly debate.
“The agreement is based on the fundamental principles of free trade, it is to create an economic system, according to which the CIS countries to implement free trade with each other without paying tariffs. This is a very important decision, “noted the minister.
According to Tigran Davtyan the agreement is fully consistent with World Trade Organization rules.
“Overall, the agreement is in line with the general economic policy, and we hope it will come into effect later this month. We attach great importance to Armenia’s joining to this agreement a day before, as it will allow free access to the CIS market,” concluded the minister.
