In the interview with “1in.am news and analyses” Jasmen Vilyan, the responsible of “Armavia” Airlines’ Public Relations and Media Department, said that “Armavia” Airlines doesn’t want to return the Sukhoi SSJ -100 airplane, and added that the issue about the airplane being pledged in one of the banks , is internal problem between the Airline company and the bank. She declined to comment on the Гражданские самолеты Сухого company’s threats, about applying to the Court justice.
Note, “Armavia” had signed a contract in 2010, with Russian ГСС company in order to purchase 2 SSJ-100 airplanes, the first of them company started to use in 2011, and the second one was to be used in the second half of the year 2012, but “Armavia” refused getting it.
Earlier the members of “Armavia” had announced to Russian media, that the airplane was given for repairmen, and is now in ГСС, and the airline does not want to take it back because the airplane is not in economically beneficial condition.
The company had also noted that “Armavia” is very small company to take such responsibilities and costs on its shoulders.
