The Times reported that the 2024 European Football Championship in Germany will use a ball to help referees spot the game by hand.
It is said that a unique microchip will be placed in the ball, which, together with limb-tracking technology, will create a three-dimensional image of the football player’s body in real-time. The picture will allow the video assistant referees (VAR) to determine where the ball hit the body.
