The Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Teymur Musaev, during the meeting with Hans Henry Kluge, Director of the European Regional Bureau of the WHO, announced that the official representative of the organization in Armenia allowed himself: “Expressing false, biased, and contradictory opinions about the sovereign territories of Azerbaijan,” Azerbaijani media reports.
At the same time, he called on the WHO regional departments to refrain from any political statements that hinder the efforts of the peace agenda in the region. Kluge expressed confidence that the organization will conduct its activities neutrally and impartially.
It should be noted that the 76th World Health Assembly is being held in Geneva, where RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan is also participating.
Earlier, the special representative of the WHO regional director in Armenia, Marte Everard, said at the meeting with Anahit Avanesyan that they condemn the actions taking place in the Lachin Corridor and on the border of Armenia.
