The Kazakhstan authorities are discussing the Russian gas transit through its territory to Uzbekistan. Kazakh Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliev announced this to journalists on Tuesday.
In November 2022, Russia proposed to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to create a “trilateral gas union” to coordinate the commercial interests of the three countries in this field. In January 2023, the energy ministries of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan signed a cooperation program with Gazprom.
