On August 9th a commission was founded in LA for the 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide that must coordinate the ceremonies that will take place in the Western coast of the USA towards April 24, 2015.
The press service of FM of RA reports to “1in.am News and Analysis” that the creation of the commission was preceded by community consultations with the biggest organizations of Western coast of the USA. The creation of the commission reflects the decision of these organizations to concentrate the efforts on organizing the ceremonies on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide under a united strategic project.
The commission coordinating the ceremonies on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide will coordinate the activity of regional bodies and will support their initiatives. The commission will closely cooperate with the state body coordinating the ceremonies on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide and with similar organizations of Diaspora.
