Georgian Statistics Service told Trend on Thursday that Georgia’s foreign trade turnover (excluding unorganized trade) amounted to $5.761 billion in January-July of 2012, which is 18 percent more than in the same period of 2011.
According to preliminary data the exports over the first seven months amounted to $1.352 billion (a 14-percent increase) and imports – $4.409 billion (a 19-percent).
Negative balance of trade turnover amounted to $3.057 billion, or 53 percent of the total foreign trade turnover.
