The flow of Armenians from Syria to Armenia may have a double impact on the economy of our country. In the interview with “1in.am News and Analyses”, economist and member of non-political initiative “Power of the public” Movses Aristakesyan said that if sphere people can bring their culture to the economic, it is a big question whether they can tolerate and adapt to the customs of this country’s economic, when Armenian businessmen cannot themselves work here and try to move abroad.
“There is no difference in what area they will try to start a business, as in any case there will be problems in terms of administration, with the tax mechanisms”, said M. Aristakesyan.
According to him, influx of Syrian-Armenians to some extent will affect real estate, which will become more expensive. “Syrian-Armenian colony is quite a rich one, there are rich people, and they will wish to preserve their social status.”
