Health Ministry press service reports that Armenia’s Minister of Health Derenik Dumanyan and Secretary of the Ministry of Health of the Federal Republic of Germany Thomas Ilkan signed a joint declaration for mutual respect, equality and benefit in the field of health care based on the principles of bilateral cooperation.
DerenikDumanyan highly appreciated the cooperation between the two countries in health care, by paying a special importance to the program to combat tuberculosis, which has been held since 2003 by the German government and had a positive impact on TB prevention in Armenia.
“The document, indeed, provides many opportunities not only on inter-governmental level, but also between individual clinics. I look forward to active cooperation for high-qualified medical care,” said Thomas Ilkan.
Misinter Dumanyan suggested to choose responsible persons, who will provide direct contacts between the ministries, as well as between the individual medical centres.
