In August 15, worldwide famous Armenian singer and composer Charles Aznavour arrived in Tbilisi by the invitation of the Georgian government.
On the same day in Georgia the French artist, together with the RA Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Georgia Hovhannes Manukyan, visited the Church of St. Etchmiadzin.
After welcoming candle lighting ceremony in Etchmiadzin’s St. George Church, the famous singer met various Armenian organizations in Georgia in the educational and cultural “Hayartun” center, including the spiritual class, the Board of Trustees of the Diocese of Georgia, the Youth Union of Georgian Writers, Union of Armenian Painters in Georgia, Union of Armenian musicians in Georgia, the Georgia Association of Armenian intellectuals and with a number of other organizations and institutions.
RA Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Georgia Hovhannes Manukyan assured great love and respect that Armenians feel for their talented son. In the evening, in honor of Charles Aznavour an official dinner was given by the Embassy of the Republic of Georgia.
