In the coming days Armenia will send humanitarian aid to Iran to help those injured because of the earthquake. This decision was made today at the government’s assembly.
The deputy minister of emergency situations Haykaram Mkhitaryan, informed that camps, blankets and bedding at about 36 million AMD, will be sent to Iran tomorrow or the day after.
The government will make a decision for sending food as well. Haykaram Mkhitaryan informed they have connected with the ambassador of Iran to Armenia and found out there is mainly a need for canned jams and drinking water in Iran. This comprises 25 million AMD. The food will also be sent to Iran.
Armenian side has also offered to send rescuers, but got no answers.
