“I want to connect the upcoming social and economic developments of Armenia with North. The reports given by the Russian web-sites that preceded the meeting of presidents of Armenia and Russia on August 8th and especially as Vladimir Putin said he sends 1 billion to Armenia, even if we don’t like that fact, it is reality.
We have no way of escaping from this reality and we follow North-Russia for the sake of our country’s national security and social-economic issues.” – this viewpoint was expressed by the member of PAP, economist Vardan Bostanjyan in the interview with “1in.am News and Analysis” answering the question whether there is a discrepancy in the fact that on the one hand the Armenian authorities have quite frequently announced of Euro integration, but on the other hand the second powerful power of Armenia, PAP have initiated Eurasian Youth Assembly that will take place from August 22 till August 27 in Tsakhkadzor with Gagik Tsarukyan’s sponsorship. The question of the creation of Eurasian Union will be discussed during the assembly.
According to V.Bostanjyan’s estimates, there is a contradiction between European Union and Eurasian Union, and though many experts say there is nothing like that, anyhow, they are unions having different directions. “This means it is impossible to go in two directions simultaneously.” – noted V. Bostanjyan.
