RP member and the president of the foreign affairs commission of the NA Artak Zakaryan stated that the policy Armenia leads between the EU and Eurasia does not contradict to each other. This is how the foreign policy of Armenia runs today.
He stated all they take for guidance is the state interest and no matter what the outer powers propose, the incumbent government will be guided by the state interest only.
Speaking about the Armenian-Turkish protocols freezing process, Zakaryan stated the Armenian side does so because Turkey determines its policy by the third country. As long as the protocols have to do with Azerbaijan and NK issue, the protocols will remain frozen.
When referring to NK conflict resolution, Zakaryan stated they managed to achieve a cognition among the international society that Armenia is the guarantor of peace in the region, while Azerbaijan triggers armed conflicts all the time. This is the reason Azerbaijan is observed as a threat to international peace.
