According to the reliable sources of our News Agency, ARF will have its own candidate in the upcoming presidential elections.
They will announce about their decision on December 22, when the fraction will have a meeting.
The source informs that ARF candidate will be the one, who hasn’t been nominated before. As you remember, Vahan Hovhannisyan was participating in the prevvious elections and Artsvik Minasyan was participating in the elections of 2009 for becoming Mayor.
There is a huge possibility that Armen Rustamyan will be the one from ARF.
We should recall that Armen Rustamyan and Hrant Margaryan recently met with President Sargsyan and announced that they would have their own candidate.
Before this decision, the only competitive for Sargsyan was Heritage political party with its leader, Raffi Hovhannisyan, but when ARF comes to participate in it, it will be more interesting and somehow the powers will be equal.
Our News Agency tried to find out whether the news is true or not and asked ARF office to comment on it but they said that would comment after December 22 and Aghvan Vardanyan said that the rumors are baseless.
