Azerbaijani media reports that Azerbaijani delegation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the State Committee on Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov is visiting Madrid.
As reported, during the visit, Hasanov met with Vice-President of the Spanish Senate Juan Jose Lucas.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Spain Altay Efendiyev and other high officials.
Speaking of the importance of strengthening bilateral relations, Hasanov touched upon cooperation in the energy sector, noting that the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic – SOCAR could open its offices and subsidiaries in Spain.
Bringing to the attention those businessmen from many European countries work in Azerbaijan, the Deputy Prime Minister said that Spanish experts could also operate in Azerbaijan.
Therefore, the opening of the Spanish embassy in Azerbaijan will enhance mutually beneficial cooperation.
