Sources say that Armenia is negotiating a loan agreement with Russia amounted $ 2 bln, meanwhile “168 hours” had written that ex-Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian stated a month ago, that Armenia was negotiating a loan agreement at the amount of $ 1 bln with Russia.
Deputy Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan neither denied, nor confirmed the reports about getting $ 2 bln loan, saying that Armenia is searching every possible way to fill the budget deficit.
Sources say that President Serzh Sargsyan backs the idea, considering the possibility of the funds to shape better public attitude before the presidential elections.
