Today started the“First Youth Eurasian Conference” organized by the Youth Union of Prosperous Armenia party in Tsakhkadzor, entitled “Youth Eurasia.” The PAP spokesman and deputy Tigran Urikhanyan has reported to “1in.am News and Analysis” that the conference aims to discuss the closer cooperation of Armenia with the countries of Eurasia, in all fields of development. There will be an exchange of experiences, workshops, discussions and etc. In the format of discussions will also be integration projects proposed by Russia and other countries. Saying “Integration Project” T.Urikhanyan means the concept of the Eurasian Union.
T.Urikhanyan said that conference is attended by the representatives of 14 countries, mostly from post-Soviet republics; Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, the Baltic countries and others. From Russia the deputy and member of “United Russia” party Ivan Navitskin will also participate, who conveyed the word of the president of Russia Vladimir Putin to the participants of the conference. Deputies, members of different parties from 13 countries are also participating. The conference will last 7 days. According to the presentation of PAP party the conference “is a good chance to discuss what is offered i1 by the countries of Eurasian area, which are taking part in the discussion about the integration project.” “To discuss and publicize everything that is offered to us, because there is a lot of speculation in press that the PAP has already focused on.
PAP needs to review, analyze, publicize, so that Armenians know what they can expect from supposedly signed contracts, integration processes, which may ever be created. And rumors if Armenia will enter or not are groundless, because there is no documentary proposal. We welcomed that initiative only on the level of the friendship of nations, the states participating on the development of relations,” says T. Urikhanyan.
So, does not PAP still have a clear stance on Armenia’s membership to the European Union, does it? “Stance, which I clearly stated in Moscow and Kazan, was the following: we support all kinds of multilateral relations with all countries participating in the development of comprehensive cooperation and friendly relations, ” responded T. Urikhanyan.
In any case, is PAP wants Armenia to be a member of the European Union.” No, it should not be interpreted like that. As for the integration process, especially the model of confederative state, which has only a declarative level, we cannot say anything until the contract provisions will be proposed, until Armenians have a firm and final decision about it, “added the PAP MP.
Head of the European Research Center Arthur Ghazinyan told”First News and Analyses” that it is very difficult to find any serious political force, which dares to join the existing structure. “But there are political forces that perhaps wold be ready to organize them various conferences and symposiums with Russia. What they want to discuss, I do not know, because it is not clear. It is just a demonstration, providing an external effect. In my opinion, it is worthless event, ” said A. Ghazinyan
