Trend reports that in september, the Georgian Defense Ministry will give thousand Georgian servicemen free apartments in “a military town”, to those servicemen who have served in the military for four years or more, and for lack of apartment are living in a rented apartment or with relatives.
According to the information apartments will be also handed over to the armed forces command level – at the level of company commanders. At the end of the year another thousand soldiers will have new apartments in the “military town”,located in Isani-Samgori district of Tbilisi.
The defense minister, Dimitri Shashkin, personally walked the apartments and neighborhood, talking with the workers.
At this point, finishing work is continuing in the buildings, communications are laid and meters installed and a road to the town is also being laid.
Note, construction of the “military camp” began in 2007.
