Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan on January 12 hosted Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Armenia Ivan Kukhta. During the meeting, the interlocutors addressed cooperation plans between Yerevan and Ukraine’s cities, Yerevan Mayor’s Office press service said.
Yerevan Mayor said that there are agreements on establishment of business ties between Yerevan and Kiev, Odessa, and, taking into consideration the cooperation potential, we should further develop and expand contacts between Armenian and Ukrainian cities.
According to Ivan Kukhta, over 350,000 Armenians currently live in the Ukraine who make serious contributions to Ukraine’s economic and political life. Reinforcement of business ties between Ukrainian and Armenian cities is a necessity, Kukhta stressed.
