By August 20th of this year the exportation of fruits and vegetables has increased by 84% in comparison with the previous year. In the interview with “1in.am News and Analysis” the deputy minister of agriculture of RA Robert Makaryan said that the amount of export is 17.543 tones instead of 9.526 tones of the previous year. Namely, we exported 12.600 tones of apricot instead of 7.233 of the previous year, 1.110 tones of grape (previously 326 tones), 300 tones of which is the grape of the previous year.
According to deputy minister’s estimates this year 1.105 tones of cherry, 373 tones of plum, 325 tones of peach and 381 tones of potato were exported.
“The process of signing contracts on grape provision is going on, and the price won’t be lower than last year, but the exact price will be clear in 10-15 days.” – said R. Makaryan adding that this year there will be a meeting with grape dealers in the ministry and will fix the price. “The demand of provision is higher this year.”
