On Saturday Kentron and Nork-Marash General Jurisdiction Court rejected “Sivilitas”’ appeal against the decision of the National Security Service.
Fund Manager Salbi Ghazarian in the conversation with “Liberty” radio station said that the decision was not a surprise for them.
“We just started this process because we are willing to go till the end.” said Ghazarian.
Recall that NSS’s investigative proceedings instituted that “Sivilitas” fund was related to criminal case for money laundering, illicit income legalization.
The director of “Sivilitas” insisted again that this process has a political subtext.
“Because there is no other case. If there was a different kind of question, problem, charge, indictment or doubt, one could suspect something else, but there is nothing else here, you do not know what they are looking for.” said the fund director.
To the question how to explain the fact that “Prosperous Armenia” party, the member of which is the “Sivilitas” representative Vardan Oskanyan, has not announced so far that he’s being politically persecuted, Ghazarian answered.- “I have no explanation, you should ask Mr. Oskanian and PAP , on which assumptions they are going ahead.”
