There is no privilege for the Syrian-Armenians to start business here. On this account no bills are needed, but it is necessary to solve the problem by means of normalizing acts and to support Syrian-Armenians according to government’s decision. This view was expressed by PAP MP, the deputy president of permanent assembly of economic issues of NA Michael Melqumyan who also noted that this must be demanded from the government.
He said they are going to present law projects during the fall session of NA for improving the business field, especially to set family business free from taxes. If it is a family business, and it is small or medium business, they get free from taxes for 3-4 years. Law projects are planned for clarifying patent payments, for giving tax privilege to fiction sells, for giving state support to small and medium businesses and projects about industry policy.
“If they are accepted, they will refer to everybody. The questions of founding a business, an organization are legally solved. The matter is, when you start a business, how it will work, whether they can easily take credits from the banks by low percents, or whether the credit reports are simplified or not.” – said Melqumyan adding that the Ministry of Economy, the centre of Supporting Small and Medium Business and the Universal Credit Organization must give their support for taking credits or ensuring leasing conditions.
