US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller referred to the 3+3 format held in Tehran and the general situation in the South Caucasus.
Miller, in particular, stated: “Regarding the Armenia-Azerbaijan issue, we welcome any good-faith engagement that promotes peace and stability for the people of the South Caucasus, regardless of where those talks take place or who hosts them. We accept that the South Caucasus has a “delicate” geographical position vis-à-vis Iran and Russia, but we do not consider these countries reliable partners.”
