The third summit of the European Political Community (EPC) will take place today in Granada.
“Leaders from 27 EU countries and 20 partner and candidate countries, including Ukraine, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Ukraine, the Balkan countries, and self-proclaimed Kosovo, will gather to discuss how to make Europe more resilient and prosperous,” said the EU Council. The delegation led by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will also participate in the Granada meeting.
One of the main topics of the summit will be the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. Bilateral and multilateral meetings to discuss specific practical issues between the member countries will be of primary importance. One of those talks, the planned five-way meeting between the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, the EU, Germany, and France on the Karabakh issue, has already failed. This was officially announced by Azerbaijan, which demanded to include Turkey in this format, which France rejected.
