Tsovinar Nazaryan, member of the initiative group “Army in Reality”, in the interview with “First News and Analyses” referred to the problems of the spring call up of this year. She said that during the discussion of the problems, the public sector is not only not invited, but also is not provided with information, and when the public sector speaks of violations, they do not accept it. “They behave as if we do not want these reforms. But I’m glad that the DM has found strength to confess its weaknesses, and found the strength to find solutions for those problems. ”
She hoped that these solutions will not be imitated, and they will put an end to the problems of the army. “During recruitment, of course, many times there were calls that medical centers were ignoring the sickness of people and taking them to the army, and the proof is that when investigating the cases of the violence towards soldiers we saw that some of them had been called up despite their sickness”.
Tsovinar Nazaryan also said that she would like the social forces to inquire information and participate in the discussions; they can offer solutions, which would be useful for the reforms. “Anyway, social groups are much closer to the everyday life of ordinary people than the Defense Ministry, which usually adopts more formal approach when it is about the reforms and the imperfections.”
