In an interview with Sputnik Armenia, the RA Deputy Prime Minister evaluated the work of the tripartite Armenian-Russian-Azerbaijani commission and talked about the unblocking of communications in the region.
Grigoryan, in particular, answered the journalist’s question: “I want to be sure that all parties are interested in the speedy resolution of the blockade issues. The agreement’s content is important so that it is functional and working. This is an independent issue, the unblocking of economic and transport links.”
Commenting on the clause of the tripartite agreement of November 9, 2020, where it is said that the control of transport communication between Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan should be carried out by the bodies of the Russian border guard service, Grigoryan noted that it is a matter of the Armenian-Russian bilateral, not a tripartite agenda.
Mher Grigoryan also noted that the issue of lifting the blockade is not directly related to the signing of the peace treaty. “This is an independent issue: unblocking economic and transport links,” said Grigoryan.
“I don’t think we should discuss such a question in the tripartite agenda. As for what will happen and how that is a separate issue,” said Grigoryan. Sputnik Armenia reports this.
