German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbück referred to the closure of the Lachin Corridor, stressing that a problematic humanitarian situation has been created in Karabakh.
During a joint press conference with RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, the German minister said: “It is important that the blockade of the Lachin Corridor is ended immediately and that Azerbaijan and Russia fulfill their responsibilities. We, as the EU, have sent international observers.”
She added that even the slightest spark could turn into a fire. According to the German Foreign Minister, Germany will also participate in that mission, “As the EU, we clearly say that our activity there is a neutral observation mission. This is very important because it should be beneficial for Azerbaijan as well. And peace and stability can only be created through negotiations.”
