The President of the Football Federation of Armenia Armen Melikbekyan revealed why the appointment of a new manager of the national team is being delayed.
“The election of a head coach of the national team of Armenia is connected with several factors. Besides the fact that we must have a highly qualified coach, we must also understand the motivation of the candidates. During the interviews we try to understand whether they truly realize the importance of the upcoming qualification round for the Armenian national team. We prefer to elect the coach a bit later, but be sure that it is the right choice. We want to be certain that the head coach of the national team realizes the importance of development of Armenian football,” Melikbekyan said at the federation’s 23rd assembly.
He added that the new manager of the Armenian team will be appointed in January of 2023.
