There is no need of any kind of expectations from the upcoming presidential elections, as even the regular citizens are not interested in the elections. Political scientist Sergey Shaqaryan expressed this opinion and noted that there can be only a hope for 1% for the force majeure.
“As of today’s results of the officially nominated candidates is not right to call a show, rather it is an attempt to present that Armenia will have alternative elections. However, for all of us the real image is obvious. It would be different if we also had Gagik Tsarukyan as a candidate,” – said Shaqaryan.
According to him there is no any atmosphere of competition in today’s presidential election, -“ Who is going to be a competitor, Hrant Bagratyan, or just someone unemployed? This is not serious.”
At the same time the political scientist says that everthing is possible, and one can have 40% of votes, as from the example of the last presidential elections in France. “But it is not possible in Armenia, as there is no big difference between Armenia and the false democratic countries,” said Shaqaryan.
