Andrias Ghukasyan, one of the presidential candidates of 2013 RA presidential elections, is a politician, who aims to establish control over the country’s high-ranking officials’ and their families’ properties. He is hoping to return the illegally accumulated wealth through corruption, to review the county’s natural resources as well as all the agreements and other documents signed on the use of strategic infrastructure systems and facilities, which have been signed by criminal oligarchs on behalf of the Third Republic.
According to Ghukasyan, the poor should not pay the same amount of taxes as the rich and as long as there is poverty, the state cannot assess the consumer costs (value added tax, turnover tax), except for luxury items, alcohol, tobacco, etc.
Ghukasyan is promoting the idea of “collective ownership”, that is “the fate of the industrial resources can’t be dependent on the will of a small group of people, that is why large companies should be a collective ownership, and citizens should have opportunity to invest their savings in stock companies, activities of which should be under the control of the state and society.”
