Expert of Armenian center for strategic and international studies, political analyst Edgar Vardanyan had a press conference and talked about Armenian political life.
According to him, the main achievement for Armenia in the year 2012 was the ascents of civil initiatives.
However, the political analyst stressed that the anti-democratic situation continues in Armenia and our society couldn’t change it and the ones, who were on the power during March 1st events, are still in the power and may continue to be for another 5 years.
Vardanyan noted that the opposition is very weak and can’t compete with authorities, which can have vital outcome for our nation.
“There are many mistakes made by our government. First of all I want to mention Ramil Safarov’s case. Armenian side should have done everything possible in order to punish Azerbaijani side for their action. Armenia must have applied for international justice concerning the issue but it didn’t happen and Azeris did what they wanted” said Vardanyan, adding “I think that a new Democratic movement is needed for Armenia in order to change current disastrous situation”.
