“Levon Ter-Petrosyan should have run. I am sure that in that case it would have been possible to change the situation.” said the head of the ANC member party “Democratic Homeland” Petros Makeyan, speaking about the ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s decision.
He noted that this is a fact, and Congress, despite everything, has still a lot to do in the political arena. “Now this decision is already made and, in fact, there were concerns in our political faction, but it is not the end of the world. Considering the state of our country, it would always be possible to change the situations, when there are force majeure situations.”
Speaking of the possibility of “Democratic Homeland” party’s output from the ANC, P. Makeyann said. “Our political board meeting has not included this agenda today, I think we need an institutional opposition structure to be able to change the situation, the country, and take care of the people. In this respect, I believe that Congress has a lot to do.”
Petros Mekeyan added that their party will refer to the question of supporting any of the presidential candidates in mid-January.
