“168 zham” daily wrtes that ANC oppositional political party is silent, which is very surprising, taking into account the fact that they protest against actions which violate human rights.
We should recall that the “Mataghis” case was one of the most important issues in Armenia and was in the center of courts, and ANC, surprisingly, didn’t comment on the actions.
The three young people were accused for killing 2 other soldiers in the army. Recently they were released from jail. According to some experts, they were released since the presidential elections are coming soon and the authorities wanted finally to reveal the justice.
However, all the persons who were responsible for that terrible decision in court must be punished and the one who has been personally involved in it is former military prosecutor, to say it more correctly – oppositional Gagik Jhangiryan.
So, Jhangiryan and ANC still say that the young persons were guilty and it means that ANC and Jhangiryan are in the same line and working together.
If ANC wants to change its decision, it means they can’t work with Jhangiryan anymore, but they don’t want to have such continuation of the actions.
This is the reason why they are silent.
