The head of the department of municipality staff social security Rusanna Zakaryan today concluded the works that were done throughout this year. State budget expenses on municipality were 7.5 billion drams. Reimbursement of deposits was granted to 48 families (10 million drams).
Rusanna Zakaryan states the work of the year shows that there is too much poverty in Yerevan and municipality organized a number of events to support the families in need. There were March 8 and April 7 events organized for the veteran women of Artsakh war, mothers and the widows of those who died at the war.
This year within the frames of New Year events more than 21.000 families including 2500 children (children from Syria too) were considered to be a part of the celebrations.
Rusanna Zakaryan also mentioned the municipality makes activities for the families needing food. These initiatives were mainly carried out with the support of the NGOs.
Taron Margaryan has announced a special order to cooperate with Armenian-Danish foundation to make temporary residents for the homeless (137 people) where they will be fed and participate into social activities.
