Armenian priest Ter-Shmavon Ghevondyan during a press-conference announced that the end of the World won’t happen.
According to him, the rumors are just baseless.
“Our people believe in many unusual and baseless things. For example some think that if they marry in 12.12.2012, they will be happier than if they did it a day before or a year ago. Which is absolutely baseless. Or they don’t marry in June, again saying that they will be unhappy” said the priest.
To the question what Armenian Apostolic church can do in order to take out the fear from our society, the priest said that they can announce about it through media, like he does now, that the end of the world is not so close.
Byurakan Observatory director Hayk Harutyunyan in his turn stressed that the rumors can’t be true and added that there should be no fear connected with it.
