Musa Mikayelyan in his political analysis highlights the past weeks anticipation of the PAP leader to state his decision. As a matter of fact, Mikayelyan states nothing actually depends on Tsarukyan’s decision because it will not face the problems of the country despite the decision.
Tsarukyan in this case is not to blame. None of the incumbent government or opposition powers deals with the problems the country has today. Tsarukyan actually has nothing to do but to be a candidate for the presidential elections. Otherwise the 500.000 voters he has will be frustrated. Not putting his candidacy leads Tsarukyan towards the “Rule of Law” party traces but Tsarukyan’s case will be even worse because if Baghdasaryan unfolded his face after the elections, Tsarukyan will do it before them. This means he will fight less than Baghadasyan did. Mikayelyan says it turns out Baghdasaryan was stronger than Tsarukyan is.
Mikayelyan concludes Tsarukyan missed the moment when he could come to a compromise with the incumbent government and it is his fault his figure was so much exaggerated that there was no place left to maneuver afterwards. Now all he can do is to put his candidacy otherwise this will be the end of his “epoch”.
