The RA Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan held a meeting in the General Department of Civil Aviation (GDCA), today with the head of Civil Aviation, Ararat and Armavir governors, deputy mayor of Yerevan, management of “Armenia” International Airports”, “Armavia” company’s management, as well as the heads of appropriate departments of “Zvartnots” international airport.
The sources report that they focused on the long-term development plan of the airport, issues related to the services provided by state agencies in the airport.
In the context of airport development project there were discussions about the development of free economic zone in the airport, the expansion of existing terminals, and opportunities to build new lines on the railroad leading to the airport. It was stressed to provide appropriate quality services by the service agencies in the airport, creating comfortable conditions for passengers, which is also important in terms of tourism development.
