During the regular NA session, ANC member Levon Zirabyan said that there is a monopoly in Armenia, stressing that all the businesses belong to RA high officials; SRC President, Serzh Sargsyan’s close people, and each of them have their own business and don’t let anyone else be involved in it.
According to Zurabyan, Armenian judges, ministers, army generals are big entrepreneurs or co-owners of huge businesses.
“52 % of Armenian businesses belong to some 40 families. This numbers talk about only about one thing; monopoly. They do whatever they want” said Zurabyan adding “The situation is getting worse day by day. We should do something to prevent this. I suggest the NA to make a plan concerning free competition in our trade market and I want it to be presented in the next session.”
Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan responded Zurabyan saying that there is a progress in Armenia but stressed that still there are a lot of problems which can’t be solved at a moment.
