Syrian Armenians are coming to Armenia for having a rest and being away from the conflict zone. Firdus Zaqayan, the head of the working group of Ministry of Diaspora, dealing with the problems of Syrian Armenian, has mentioned about this in the interview with “1in.am News and Analysis”.
According to him, the large number of Syrian Armenians is coming to Armenia for a vacation.
“They are coming here to have a rest and then return to Syria. There is only a small part of them, two or three families of each flight, that wants to stay here. Those who want to live here, they solve their problems on their own, rent houses and it means that they are here for a fixed period. If not, they think about buying a house, and those who do not have that kind of opportunity, we send to the migration offices, where they are given places to live”, reported Firdus Zaqaryan, saying that by Aleppo-Yerevan Flight 47, of 50 required, people came, the last time plane was only 70% full.
