Since 66 MPs were needed to have the ANC’s initiated NA session, the latter failed to take place because of the lack of quorum: only 44 MPs were present.
Eduard Sharmazanov and Hermine Naghdalyan were present but did not vote, 9 MPs from the PAP and other fractions were not present. ARF and “Heritage” party members were all present. Most part of the absentees was from the PAP. ARF head of the fraction Armen Rostomyan stated the missing of the session is a harsh constitutional violation and added they would apply for the ethics commission of the NA. Sharmazanov counter-argued it would be better if opposition let them decide their own strategy and reminded that another 9 opposition members were not present too and that this issue could also be a matter of the ethics commission concern.
The NAC had initially presented a row of amendments in the electoral and criminal code book to be discussed during the session which was not passed.
