Artak Shaboyan, head of the State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition, doesn’t agree with the idea that since there is no Economic competition in Armenia it is a manifestation of corruption.
We should recall that during the Governmental session it was said that President Sargsyan is not satisfied with the anti-corruption actions and said that he will be involved in it very actively in order to solve the issue.
The journalists asked Shaboyan to comment on the statement and express his ideas towards it but Shaboyan said that he will answer only to the questions which are connected to his field.
Shaboyan also stressed that the Economic competition in Armenia is not so week as it is being reported.
After the last announcement the journalist asked Shaboyan to say how many companies import sugar to Armenia? Shaboyan gave the following answer:
“Since I don’t have too much time I should ask you to give the questions another time. Moreover, I have already answered that question before.”
