Azerbaijani media reports that Alex Miller, member of the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) had a meeting with Azerbaijani journalists and announced that Parliament and the government of Israel is interested in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan and see Azerbaijan as its strategic partner in the South Caucasus.
According to him, there are many good opportunities for cooperation between the two countries and simplification of the visa regime between the two countries, as well as the establishment of direct contacts between business people could make an important contribution in this regard.
At present any problems for the development of relations between the two countries does not exist. There are more than 50,000 Jewish from Azerbaijan in Israel, who are also willing to contribute to this cause.
“Azerbaijani community plays an important role in the rapprochement of the two countries” Miller said.
