On October 21-26 in Quebec city of Canada RA NA delegation took part in the 127th assembly of Inter parliamentary union. On October 30 the head of RA delegation Karen Jshmarityan and its member Heghine Bisharyan represented the results of the assembly.
As the press service of MFA reports, during the assembly 2000 delegates from 130 countries discussing the issues of “Citizenship, identity, lingual and cultural diversity in globalized world” and “Genger factor taking into consideration parliamentary issues.” Heghine Bisharyan delivered a speech where she criticized Ilham Aliyev’s speech who said that there are 30 thousand Armenians in Azerbaijan and 20% of the territory is occupied by Armenians. Mrs. Bisharyan also informed on the developments of events around Ramil Safarov.
Heghine Bisharyan noted that after her speech a member of Hungarian delegation apologized on behalf of Hungarians and on his own and said the head of their delegation wants to meet with the Armenian delegation, who also apologized for the convict’s extradition and offered to reestablish Armenian-Hungarian diplomatic relations.
The members of the delegation informed that Karen Jshmarityan was elected as the executive deputy president of one of the six geopolitical groups.
During the executive session Ilham Aliyev’s offer to pass the next assembly of Interparliamentary Union in Azerbaijan.
