Aravot.am today organized an interview with Stepan Safaryan, general-secretary of “Heritage” party, and asked him to comment on the statement which was made by Levon Zurabyan, member of ANC.
We should recall that earlier Zurabyan mad an announcement saying that the only political parties which can go against Serzh Sargsyan (Armenian President) during the upcoming presidential elections, are ANC and PAP.
According to Safaryan, he doesn’t agree with the statement.
“I can’t agree with the statement since all of you can see that PAP doesn’t act the way it used to. I think the reason is that it hasn’t yet decided what to do; to be an opposition or support Sargsyan, taking some mandates” said Safaryan.
To the question whether PAP will nominate its candidate or not, he responded:
“As I already mentioned PAP is kind of confused and it became very difficult for them to do any actions. However, I think that PAP may nominate Gagik Tsarukyan as its candidate for the upcoming presidential elections.”
